There is a saying that goes something like this, "to test a person's character, give him/her power." In this case, I would say wealth also. When one (whether celebrities or not) is affluent, one will be put through 'test.' Some will do well, while some like Tiger will fall. I would like to think it is a flaw in the character than to have anything to do with their livelihoods. I am thinking if this has anything particular to do just with celebrities. These celebrities/athletes have been believing the hype about themselves since they were young. To a certain degree they have to. It's what keeps them ahead of the competition. So they are driven, but they lack humility, grace and empathy. All qualities that certainly help in relationships. When you live your life all about YOU, it's hard to consider the other people in your life. Good stuff about bad stuff! It’s called, “Believing the hype.”
